About The Olive Oil Workshop

The Olive Oil Workshop is an olive oil appreciation company based in Seville, Spain that offers activities associated with extra virgin olive oil (EVOO).

Spain, and more specifically, Andalusia is the number one olive oil producer in the world but, until recently has had little recognition. Spanish olive oils are gaining recognition for their superior quality and taste and have been accumulating an impressive list of awards from the World’s Best Olive Oil. Additionally, the list of health benefits of EVOO is increasingly becoming substantiated by scientific research. More and more consumers that appreciate good food are insisting on a more complete and accurate understanding of this important staple of the Mediterranean diet.

The Olive Oil Workshop strives to meet the growing demands of buyers, producers, travelers and consumers for olive oil education and activities. Whether you just want to take a dip in the basics of how to choose an olive oil, or you would really like to get soaked in the details of the entire process, we can provide you with a fun, unique and delicious tasting experience!

Alexis Kerner, born in Philadelphia (USA), is an expert olive oil taster who has resided in Seville, Spain for more than 22 years. She received her undergrad in Environmental Science from Connecticut College and her title as Expert Olive Oil Taster from the International Olive Council and the University of Jaén in Spain.
